Vitamins
Vitamins are a group of organic compounds needed from the diet in small amounts for normal human growth, development and cell function (1)(2). The two categories of vitamins are: fat-soluble vitamins, stored in the bodys fatty tissue, and water-soluble vitamins that are used by the body right away. Left over water-soluble vitamins are discharged in urine (2).
