Farmers' Markets … Come for the Tradition!
Today, Ontario leads the way for Canada in forming community partnerships with municipal governments and farmers to create a resurgence of Farmers' Markets. Shopping at a Farmers' Market is good for the local community economy and the economy of Ontario. For every person working at a Farmers' Market, another two are back working on the farm. Approximately 27,000 people in Ontario are directly involved in preparing and selling the seasonal products you find at the market. Farmers' Markets connect the city folk to the country folk and help to preserve a part of Ontario's farm heritage.
Farmers' Markets … good for the body, good for the soul!
